Music and the Environment : UN and EXIT Festival 2010

Recent updates from the United Nations claim that the highly coveted Exit Music Festival will be working in close collaboration with the United Nations Environmental Programme and UNESCO. The campaign is called "Music and the Environment" aims to bring into light environmental promotion and protection by bringing together the most key figures in the music business in a collective initiative. According to Exit Corporation, it also aims to at improving the music industry's relation to the environment. 


    The campaign will kick off with a concert in Brisbane,Australia on Environmental Protection Day , June 5th.It will be followed by an international UN conference in Arendal, Norway which will host musical professionals from all over the world as well as environmental protectionists and experts. Exit Corporation has been invited to present and share its struggles in helping to preserve the environment. 
   UNEP has officially instated 2010 as The Year of Biodiversity and the Exit Festival will play a very important role in speaking out for electronic music festivals across the world. Much of the festival will be dedicating several events to the protection of the environment . It is also safe to say that the entire festival will most likely have a bit of green fever!


   Exit 2010 will be held from July 8 to July 11, 2010, at the Petrovaradin Fortress in Novi Sad. Confirmed acts for the festival  include The Chemical BrothersDoes It Offend You, Yeah?Crystal Castles,SebastiAn (French electro artist)DJ MehdiBusy PErol AlkanCrookersBoys NoizeRoyksoppMika, Ricardo Villalobos, Moderat , Josh Wink and Ida Engberg.
