Deep Structure: Toronto

Being a genre unlike any other, the sounds of deep melodic progressive house have not been very successful in penetrating the Toronto underground music scene. Minimal ,electro music and a combination of hyperactive drugs have been rocking the dance floors across the city for the past 5 years. However, the scene is soon set to change.
Internationally, deep progressive house is the thing, and Toronto has yet to catch up. Countries like Argentina, Isreal, Turkey and many more seem to be on the right track. The Guvernment Nightclub has been hosting this kind of music for years , however for the typical bedroom DJ it is nearly impossible to land a gig . Sometimes some of the best music imaginable gets left behind in all of the commercial dust.
Enter Giorgio Papadakis: party planner and music lover extraordinaire. Planning major events since the age of 15 he is now working on underground ventures and bringing progressive music back to the underground.
" I have been planning major events for a long time, but I want to bring the focus back to smaller venues with a solid crowd," Papadakis said.
His next venture is Deep Structure. A collaborative event between four talented progressive house djays and Li'ly Resto Lounge underground. The event will bring together a new and different kind of crowd and clearly start the beginning of a new niche party zone. One we have all been waiting for.

The event will take place on March 26th from 9pm to 5am at 656 College Street.
