House Music has Gone Commercial. Is this what we wanted?

There's something strange going on out there. Clubland has gone commercial. Our little world we used to call our own has now been exposed to the masses and is taking front stage. Every hip hop artist is looking for a house music producer, everybody wants to be a DJ and nobody has an ounce of talent. Like Paris Hilton for example. Tasteless sounds have taken of the airwaves to a new level of stupidity in music. Don't get me wrong, I love house music, all kinds, just not the cheap type of garbage that seems to have taken over the world. BT even tweeted that Pixar has been approaching him to learn about house music. A feature movie on house music? They must be doing something right.

Don't Lose the Music: The Best Protection

You may find it strange that I'm covering this but its for your own sake, so bear with me. This is a topic that is very near and dear to DJ's and club and concert goers alike: Our precious ears. Without them we would not be able to enjoy the various audible sensations the world presents to us on a daily basis.

Dear party people/avid readers,

It's March and spring is in the air. How cliche is that! But its true(in the Northern hemisphere). You know that feeling you get when suddenly the sunshine is pouring into your room every day and that extra boost of vitamin D ,that you have been to deprived of for the past 5 months, acts like a happy drug? That's the feeling I have had all week! 

This month on Digital Deep there is so much to look forward to. As you can see, we have been posting daily due to the creation of our editorial calendar, so be prepared for lots of kick ass content. We have lots of features, reviews, interviews, how-to guides, polls, inspiration pieces and more coming your way! Also, we are currently working on our website(exciting!) and we'll have more updates on that soon. 

The radio show on Fnoob Radio is going great, and we will be having a surprise guest DJ this month. Shhh... The show will be airing Saturday, March 26th at 3pm GMT Toronto. We are working on getting those podcasts set up so that the shows are available for a listen after they air. If you have music that you want on the show, please feel free to contact us we'll what we see can do for you. 

The world of EDM is abuzz this month with so many events happening. Canada is absolutely rockin' this year with the return of WEMF, Bal en Blanc, Decadence and more. Waterloo has a new club called Beta and thus they have quickly become one of the top cities for EDM fan to party in. I have not been down to visit yet, but I know this month I'm due for a trip!
